Behind the Scenes:

Carry On Nurse was released to a rapturous reception in the US.  The film received its US premiere at the Granada Theater in Dallas (now a nightclub) and lucky cinemagoers were rewarded on arrival with a plastic daffodil.

Carry On Nurse was, until the release of Four Weddings and a Funeral, the highest grossing British film on US soil.

Following the enormous success of Carry On Nurse, Peter Rogers announced that the regular "Carry On Team" would comprise of Kenneth Williams, Kenneth Connor, Charles Hawtrey, Hattie Jacques, Bill Owen, Terence Longdon and Joan Sims.

Following the success of the film, Gerald Thomas renegotiated his contract with Peter Rogers so that from this film onwards he took an equal share of the profits.
