The beauty pageant and closing chase were set on Brighton's Palace Pier (now known as simply Brighton Pier - (Visit via Microsoft Local)). However, the scenes shot at the entry to the pier were actually filmed at the now-destroyed West Pier in Brighton (Visit via Microsoft Local).
