Bloopers & Gaffes
Towards the end of the film, when the slaves are escaping out the window, one of the costumes flies up to reveal a pair of anachronous red underpants!
Behind the Scenes:
The costumes and sets for Carry On Cleo were taken directly from the Richard Burton/Elizabeth Taylor production "Anthony & Cleopatra" which explains the more than usually opulent look of this film.
The producers got their knuckles rapped by the Marks & Spencers' management for their use of "Marcus et Spencius" as the name of the slave trader's business.
